Hello,
How are you? I know, I very rarely jump into your email inbox more than once a month, but this is a very exciting exception… today see’s the launch of our very first Community Grant Fund!
At the beginning of this year, I launched The Neighbourhood, our community membership and as part of this membership I pledge 30% of the income to our local community grant fund. Alongside this The Neighbourhood get bi-monthly (every two months) updates from me about the future of nozza news, they currently know a secret project I’m working on and have been helping me flesh out some other ideas I have. It’s a lovely digital space and I’d love to have some more of you to be part of it. If you would like to join The Neighbourhood you can subscribe here , for £3.50 a month.
We have such a beautiful community of subscribers here at nozza news, and you’re first in the know today, so please do submit your ideas to this grant fund and make sure to share the application with your pals. The more the merrier!
If this is your first email with us then woooops I’ll be back to regular programming on the 7 Aug. In the mean time you can read our back catalog here.
Best, Al x
PS: The Neighbourhood members have a say where the first grant will be awarded and we’re super excited to look at all of your submissions.
So, lets get into The Community Grant Fund…
What is it?
The community grant fund is a regular pot of money allocated to supporting local creatives, movers, makers and shakers. The grant is funded by The Neighbourhood, our paid membership scheme for Nozza News. The Neighbourhood pledges 30% of its income to fund the local grant. As part of the community our Neighbourhood members will decide as a group where the fund will be allocated.
We aim to award at least 1 grant per year, this is our first!
The first grant fund is for the amount of £100.
We aim to award the grant fund by the end of August.
Who is it for?
The fund should directly affect our local (Norwich) community. In regards to the kind of submissions we’re looking for, we're on the hunt for local events, businesses, independent creatives or anyone who has an idea they need help to make a reality. We don't want to be too descriptive in the submission phase so please submit even if you haven't seen your idea listed above.
Where do I apply?
If you’d like to submit your application please fill in all the information here.
This form must be completed in full by 10am Tuesday 4 August 2026.
I look forward to reading all of your submissions!
